Children's Church
Janice Pitts- Children's Church Ministry Leader
Children's Church (ages 3-12) is held every Sunday during the 11:30 a.m. Worship Service. During Children's Church, the children worship and learn about God on a child's level. We have a Praise and Worship Service, during which they sing songs, read scripture, collect a monetary offering and welcome our visitors.
After eating a hearty snack, the children break out into grade appropriate classess where they learn about God's Word and participate in fun activities. The classes are:
God's Glory (daycare, pre-kindergarten, kindergarten); King's Warriors (1st, 2nd, 3rd graders); and Chosen New Creation (4th, 5th, and 6th graders). We also have a nursery for babies through the age of 2, which also teaches the children about God.
Other Activities
During the year, we have other activities designed to bring children and their parents together.
Our annual "Children's Day Celebration" is a day in which the children are in charge of the Worship Services. It is normally held the second Sunday in June, and the children sing, praise dance, and speak, giving God all the glory! This year's Children's Day Celebration will be held Sunday, June 12. Our theme is "All Things Are Possible".
The annual "Back to School Prayer Bash" has grown into a wonderful opportunity for community outreach and helps prepare the children for transitioning back to school. During the Prayer Bash, we remind the children that God is with them everywhere, especially at school.
